Taking over Campos Coffee’s former premises on Wandoo Street, Penberthy and Cush have completely transformed the warehouse into a working winery complete with cellar door and restaurant.
The team behind the winery focuses on producing small-batch, handcrafted drops that are designed to highlight the region’s world-class fruit. Previous vintages have included fiano and grenache, while this year’s releases include gewurztraminer and nebbiolo. The winery also produces a range of roses made from grenache and sangiovese.
Guests can enjoy the full winery experience, seated at long tables overlooking a wall of oak barrels that house the artisan winemakers’ creations. They can learn about the wine-making process, and about the vineyards from which the grapes are sourced, as well as the stories of the honest people who work the vineyards. They can also savour a two course meal and tasting paddle of four Gerler wines.
Albert River Wines
Albert River Wines is a boutique winery with an impressive cellar door and restaurant overlooking the picturesque Vineyards on Tamborine Mountain. It offers 3 stunning Ceremony locations, including the Historic Chapel with stained glass windows and a quaint timber deck suited for 120 guests, as well as a gazebo in their established cottage gardens that can accommodate 160 guests for your wedding day.
Visitors can enjoy a glass of wine at the bar or on the veranda and dine in their modern Australian style restaurant, which is open for lunch daily and dinner from Thursday to Sunday. The property also offers a boutique hotel with rooms that feature magnificent views of the Mount Tamborine valley.
