Located on the island’s southernmost “point,” Shoals Club delivers a whole new level of shore side experiences to our members, their guests and temporary members. The prestigious club offers more than just golf and beach.

The Clubhouse
The clubhouse at Shoals Club is an enchanting and inviting seaside home. The cedar-sided clubhouse features round columns, mullioned windows and Bahamian shutters, as well as a gazebo overlooking East Beach and Frying Pan Shoals.
By day, the club is a gathering spot for families to enjoy time by the pool, strolling out to the point of Cape Fear, or having lunch al fresco at the Sandbar Grille. Easy beach access and ample locker rooms, along with provided chairs, towels and umbrellas make spending the day at the shore a pleasure. Then, in the evening, the premier dining venue, AQUA, treats dinner guests to an array of menu selections that showcase fresh, local seafood and regional cuisine. Full or temporary membership at the club is required to dine in AQUA.
During the summer season, guests also have the option of enjoying lunch and dinner at the laid-back lounge, Latitudes. A scrumptious tapas-style menu, ice cold drinks and stunning views all add up to an unforgettable experience. During the summer months, an acoustic guitarist lends extra atmosphere to this casual locale that is open to members, their guests and temporary club members.
The Beach
The Club is a destination all its own, offering a wealth of seaside experiences for Members and their guests. Its privileged location overlooking the legendary Cape Fear Point, paired with fine and casual dining, pools, direct beach access, and creative kids’ programming deliver a completely new level of oceanfront living.
A private wooden boardwalk extends from the clubhouse directly to the beach, and provides a convenient way for guests to get to and from the beach with ease. Poolside towel service, provided chairs and umbrellas, and a range of beach activities make spending time at the beach an effortless experience for everyone.
The club offers a number of stunning locations for wedding ceremonies and receptions, including the Club presentation deck that overlooks the Cape Fear Point and East Beach. It also offers a beautiful and quaint Bald Head Island Chapel for those seeking a more traditional ceremony.
Dining
Overlooking the Point of Cape Fear, the Club offers a variety of dining experiences including a premier restaurant venue with stunning ocean views and delightful menu selections featuring salmon, veal tenderloin and oysters. A casual club dining experience, Latitudes, is also available. It features a delicious tapas-style menu and an expansive full bar with fantastic drink specials and a laid-back atmosphere that is family friendly.
The Sandbar Grille is poolside and serves a light lunch menu of sandwiches, salads and easy meals for families that want to maximize their time at the pools or on the beach. Full and temporary member Guest Memberships are available, but must be registered prior to pool and dining reservations.

Club offers a number of events throughout the year for its members. Whether it be the Annual Member’s Labor Day Party complete with food stations, delectable drinks and live music by The Sleeping Booty Band or an evening at the beach with dinner, wine and dessert – there is always something to celebrate.

Activities
At Club, a wealth of activities and events are available for members and their guests. The Club’s pristine beach, two swimming pools and three distinct dining venues offer opportunities to enjoy long summer days and beautiful evenings. The Club also has a member-run astronomy program with regular observing nights and a variety of public outreach activities such as “sidewalk astronomy.”
From its spectacular vantage point overlooking the legendary Frying Pan Shoals of Bald Head Island, Club offers an ocean of possibilities to Members and their guests. Coupled with its sister property, Bald Head Island Club, these two premier island clubs deliver a new level of seaside experiences.
Club’s Guest Membership options include full-access to the Club and its amenities as well as a limited-access version for those who prioritize golf or beach over pool time. Full-access Guest Memberships can be purchased in advance or reserved at the Club through the Annual Rental Program. For guests staying in a Club vacation rental, full access Guest Memberships may be obtained by filling out a Temporary Membership Form (click to 2023 Form). A $100 administrative fee is non-refundable for temporary memberships.
