Sam Ashgari is sharing details about his and Britney Spears’ pregnancy loss.
Ashgari told GQ that he and his fiancée are positive about the pregnancy. “It’s something that happens to a lot of people,” he said, adding that he was heartened to hear from people who have gone through a similar experience. “One beautiful thing that I heard was when the baby’s ready, it’ll come,” he said. “So that was a beautiful thing somebody had said was, it’s a common process and the female body is just so amazing, and just the human body in general is so beautiful that it heals itself.”
Spears announced in April that she was pregnant and then revealed a few weeks later that she had suffered a miscarriage. The actor/model/personal trainer, who got engaged to Spears in September 2021, talked to the publication about proposing to the superstar. Asghari said he enlisted the help of his sisters when it came to picking out the ring.
“I figured with her taste, she wouldn’t want something super big and celebrity-like,” he said. “Celebrities get those huge rings for free as part of a promotion deal. But I wanted to get her something special that represents our relationship.”
“I wanted it to come from my heart,” he said, “and I wanted it to go to someone who wasn’t a big jeweler.” He added that the company was a big company but also willing to work with him on his design. “It’s a beautiful ring,” he said. “It’s a princess cut; it’s for a real life princess.”
