Wedding Venues in Los Angeles to Make Your Special Day Better

Los Angeles has an abundance of wedding venues to choose from. Whether you want to say “I do” with ocean views or in the classic elegance of a hotel ballroom, you’ll find the perfect venue here.

For out-of-town guests, LAX is the closest airport with non-stop flights. This makes it a short drive or train ride to most venues in the city.

The Ebell of Los Angeles

A swoon-worthy location that exudes timeless elegance and classic romance, The Ebell of Los Angeles is a wedding venue in Los Angeles that dreams are made of. Its exquisite grounds and architecture provide the perfect backdrop for gorgeous photos, while the dedicated Special Events team will help you personalize your day with dramatic lighting, luxury linens, and vintage furniture. The Ebell’s beautiful garden courtyard, Art Salon, and Dining Room can be used in combination to accommodate guests of various sizes for your ceremony, cocktail reception, and seated dinner.

Located in Los Angeles’ Hancock Park neighborhood, The Ebell was founded by women, for women, in 1894, and includes an auditorium, library, art gallery, solarium, offices, dressing rooms, beautiful public rooms, and gardens. The current clubhouse, designed by renowned architect Sumner Hunt and built in 1927, has hosted legendary ladies like Judy Garland, who was “discovered” on the Wilshire Ebell Theatre stage, and Amelia Earhart, who gave her last public lecture there.

The Ebell of Los Angeles can accommodate couples with varying budgets, as their fee structure ranges from $9000 for Exclusive First Floor Use to $3000 for just the garden. They also have various food and beverage packages, including a plated meal option with a wine pairing. Their Executive Chef and Special Events team work closely to create a culinary experience that your guests will be talking about long after the wedding.

The Huron Substation

The Huron Substation is a gorgeous, loft-like architectural gem that blends industrial and elegant qualities to create the perfect setting for your next project. This historic LA space boasts a massive ground floor space, concrete floors, sweeping 45-foot ceilings, wooden beams and an open staircase leading up to a 1,500 square foot mezzanine. It also features 12-ft-high doors and is surrounded by a variety of vintage industrial elements including exposed brickwork, ghost signage and arched windows.

Built in 1906, this historic landmark was originally used to power the city’s Yellow Car trolley network. Now it is a one-of-a-kind multipurpose creative space that can be utilized for special events, weddings and film & photo shoots.

Featuring arched windows, original brickwork and polished concrete floors, this stunning historical space exudes industrial elegance. Soaring 45-foot ceilings, a stunning wraparound mezzanine, and a modern 8-foot circular chandelier are just some of the features that set this unique venue apart from the rest.

This historic building was designed by Edward S Cobb, the engineer behind the Angels Flight funicular railway, in 1908. It was then used to convert electricity to power the city’s Yellow Car trolleys before being sold to its current owner who meticulously restored it over a 15-year period. It has since been transformed into a spectacular event space and now offers 3,000 square feet of living space with a mezzanine adding another 1,500 square feet.

The Carondelet House

Located in the heart of Los Angeles, The Carondelet House is an intricate and romantic venue that can be transformed to suit any style. Its historical milieu and sophisticated reputation make it an ideal location to create a once-in-a-lifetime event. From the gleaming wood floors to the exquisitely decorated ceilings, this stunning venue is guaranteed to make your wedding day a truly special affair.

This unique venue is a captivating Italian-inspired brick building that was once the home of a prominent architect and later served as the headquarters for Otis College of Art and Design. The current owner, Alan Dunn, who also owns and operates the established catering company Tres LA, discovered the property while searching for an expansion site. He loved the space’s warm, eclectic feel and envisioned it as an event venue where couples could truly “make it their own”.

The 7,600-square foot venue is broken up into several distinct sections. From the North and South Studio to the Salle, each area offers a different atmosphere. There are exposed brick walls, hand-stenciled ceilings, a baby grand piano (ready to be played or simply used as decor), and gorgeous windows with natural light. Sound considerations are carefully managed to ensure a serene ambiance, allowing for guests to mingle and dance freely.

The Carondelet House is one of the few venues that can be photographed beautifully with a variety of lens sizes. However, it is best shot with a “normal” lens to highlight its warm and moody character.
