Miles Bridges, a Charlotte Hornets forward, was charged with felony child and domestic violence based on allegations that he assaulted his girlfriend in front of their children, the Los Angeles County District Attorney said on Tuesday.
Los Angeles District Attorney Jackie Lacey announced Friday the arrest of NBA star Tony Allen Bridges, 24, on charges of child abuse. According to a criminal complaint filed by the Los Angeles Police Department, Bridges allegedly assaulted his girlfriend in front of their two young children at their home on or about June 27 and 28.
District Attorney George Gascón said, “Domestic violence creates physical, mental and emotional trauma that has a lasting impact on survivors.”Children who witness family violence are especially vulnerable, as well as the impact on them is immeasurable. Mr. Bridges will be held accountable for his actions, and our Bureau of Victim Services will support the survivors through this difficult process.” CNN has reached out to Bridges’ representation for comment. The Hornets said the team is aware of the charges.”These are very serious charges,” the team said in a statement posted on Twitter.
